I will miss you so much but I know where you are with your Al and other loved ones. I will miss your laughter and the fun times we had together on our Coca Cola trips but I know you left this world the way you wanted too at your own home and not suffering. I know Bella will end up where she's supposed too. Till we meet again... Inez

Earlene & "Mr. Al" were the first couple we met at Smokyfest, our first Coca-Cola Collectors Club convention, in Gatlinburg May 2001. They were selling some old, fantastic Coca~Cola items from their room. Al was in a wheel chair from diabetes. He was a tall man, a "my sized" guy. Earlene was a thin woman, & came fluttering into their room a few minutes later. We were in their room almost two hours looking at all this old coca-cola stuff!!!! I was in awe, & must have asked him a hundred questions. Al was a wealth of knowledge. Both were really. As we came out to walk down to the pavilion for the Opening Party, Earlene was trying to get Mr. Al out the back door & down the steep parking lot. Becky held the door & I took over the wheel chair pushing. I told him I had to tilt him back to get him over the curb. He was a little nervous at first, but then was at ease when I had control of the chair. It put Earlene at ease too. After the party I pushed him back into the hotel after a venture with some black bear in the dumpster. Good memories. They were in Coke collector books as references because of their knowledge. We started exchanging Christmas cards with them, & continued even though "Mr. AL" passed away about a year later. We always looked forward to their Christmas card. We always looked for Earlene at conventions, & I would always get a big hug from her. She would say I was a lot to hug like her Al was. Ms. Earlene Mitchell is now reunited with her beloved husband, Mr. Al. She will be greatly missed by us, and many, many more. We love you Earlene. Goodbye for now until we meet again. Earlene was loved by many members of the Coca-Cola Collectors Club and will be greatly missed. She was always willing to share her collection with others. We still have some of her homemade jelly she gave to us when my husband helped her. Good-bye sweet lady, Carole and Ken Cottrell
